Shrimp Limit Increase

Shrimp lovers will be happy to hear the WDFW has increased the spot shrimp daily limit from 80 to 120 per person in areas 6 and 7- west beginning June 1’st. Also Coonstripe and Pink Shrimp will open in areas 7- east, 8-1, 8-2, 9, 11, and 13. Area 7 east has a maximum fishing depth of 200 feet. areas 8-1, 8-2, 9, and 11 have a 150 foot maximum fishing depth. Area 13 has a max depth of 250 feet. Any spot shrimp caught in areas not open to them must be returned.
